Recently promoted Newcastle United may be heading to the USA for a summer tournament before the re-enter the English Premier League.
The Magpies, one of England's biggest clubs, managed to go straight back into the top flight after dominating the English Championship this season and they are believed to be considering a pre-season tour that is under the working title of 'New York Football Challenge'.
Three European clubs will come to New Jersey to take on MLS club New York Red Bulls and the club's managing director Erik Stover is confident of securing some big name clubs.
"I've got four files of events on my desk that I've been working on," Stover said.
"The World Series of Football is coming over. That will probably be named the New York Football Challenge, and will pit three teams against us in sort of a semi-final tournament.
"Those teams will be of the likes of Juventus, Napoli, Newcastle, Everton, Bolton, Fulham, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Porto, Atletico Madrid.
"With the change to Champions League qualifications, we haven't been able to announce those teams yet, but we will shortly."
