English clubs miss out on Liege's Witsel

Standard Liege starlet Axel Witsel will not be joining one of the many English clubs after him.

Liege have decided not to sell the 19-year old midfielder who has attracted interest from Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bolton and Middlesbrough and the club has revealed that they have already rejected a massive offer for him.

"I had a bid of €20million for Witsel and it was refused," Liege's vice-president Luciano D'Onofrio said.

"It is not even a question."
