English clubs in for Hearts midfielder Stevenson

The agent of Heart of Midlothian midfielder Ryan Stevenson suggests that there a few English clubs on the radar of his client.

The 27-year old has gone on strike in protest of late payment of wages by the Edinburgh club and it appears as though he may be on his way out of Tyencastle this winter.

Stevenson's representative, Kenny Moyes, has revealed that League Two outfit Crawley Town are keen as well as one or two other clubs but has made it clear that perhaps a summer transfer is more likely than a quick-fix January departure.

"If Ryan was to sign a pre-contract I would expect him to be back training and making himself available for Hearts," Moyes told the Daily Record.

"Crawley are keen and they have a great set-up. Another couple of clubs in England have also shown an interest since the weekend.

"They don't necessarily want to sign him now but to get something done for the summer. Ryan would be keen on a move to England."
