England's World Cup plans face disruption over a battle for team manager Franco Baldini.
The Mail on Sunday says Baldini is to be offered a tempting return to Italy.
The German/Swiss group hoping to buy AS Roma from the Sensi family have made initial contact with Baldini about resuming the sporting director role he had during the six-year spell he and Capello spent at the club.
Baldini wants to remain loyal to Capello, England and the Football Association and would prefer to stay until after the World Cup.
But at the same time, provided the prospective new owners outline an attractive project and transfer budget, he is very attracted to the Roma job.
