England's World Cup bidding committee are enlisting heavy-hitters to rescue their campaign.
The Daily Mail says Tuesday's crisis meeting of the campaign's board of directors at Wembley will consider bringing in a number of big hitters to put the bid back on track after it was derailed by FIFA powerbroker Jack Warner's heavy criticisms last week.
The three football people at the top of the 2018 wish list are departing Birmingham managing director Karren Brady, anti-racism campaigner and former player Paul Elliott and former Arsenal vice-chairman and FA board member David Dein.
