England U21 have lost Arsenal fullback Kieran Gibbs to injury.

The Arsenal defender picked up an ankle injury during the Young Lions' 2-0 victory over Norway on Sunday and has not travelled to Denmark for European Championships.

Head Coach Stuart Pearce said: "It's unfortunate for Kieran, but he went for a scan yesterday and is in a medical boot."

Henri Lansbury, who spent the majority of last season on loan at Norwich, is in the squad.
