England U21 coach Stuart Pearce admits he wants to take Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the Euros.
Pearce will hold talks with Roy Hodgson that he hopes will conclude with Oxlade-Chamberlain being given permission to travel to Israel this summer.
"I would like him with us but Roy will ultimately be the judge of that," said Pearce. "What I will say, though, is that I have always maintained that when players are promoted to the next level they should play and not sit on the bench.
"So it was pleasing to see the likes of Alex and Kyle Walker play against San Marino. That is the most important thing.
"Come the summer, Roy will decide whether certain players come with us or go to Brazil.
"That will be decided over the next few months and I totally understand they will have first dibs. I just have to make sure I have the strength in depth of players able to cover them."
