England U21 coach Stuart Pearce is ready to hand Reading revelation Sean Morrison a call-up.

The Daily Star says Pearce plans to monitor Morrison's progress and get the lowdown on the defender from his club boss Brian McDermott ahead of a potential call-up.

The Young Lions' next friendly ahead of the Euro 2013 championships is in February, against opponents who are yet to be confirmed.

Though he is already 21 Morrison would be eligible for the Euros in Israel as he was under-21 when England's qualifying campaign started.
