England U19 boss Blake names latest squad

England U19s Head Coach Noel Blake has selected his first squad for the new season, as the Young Lions travel to Germany for what should be a stern test ahead of October's First Qualifying Round for the 2013 European Championship.

Blake, who took last season's U19 group to the semi-final of the Euro Finals in Estonia, has plenty of international youth experience at his disposal too, with four players from the squad who were in July's roll-call able to play again for the U19s this season.

The Squad:

Goalkeepers: Jordan Pickford (Sunderland), Jonathan Sutherland (Manchester United).

Defenders: Tyler Blackett (Manchester United). Eric Dier (Sporting Lisbon), Adam Jackson (Middlesbrough), Daniel Potts (West Ham United), John Stones (Barnsley).

Midfielders: Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea), George Evans (Manchester City)* James Ward-Prowse (Southampton), Nick Powell (Manchester United), Nathan Redmond (Birmingham City),

Forwards: Chuba Akpom (Arsenal), Jack Barmby (Manchester United), Max Clayton (Crewe Alexandra), Adam Morgan (Liverpool), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Blair Turgott (West Ham United).

* Replaces John Lundstram (Everton), withdrawn by club.
