The FA are arranging a series of high profile friendlies for the England U18 team.
Head coach Neil Dewsnip, above, is finalising plans for matches against Croatia, Belgium and Germany.
“We looked around at what other countries do, the likes of Spain for example, and they regularly play matches at this age level,” said Dewsnip, who is the technical lead for the 17 to 21 age group. “We are hoping to line up some exciting games between now and the end of the season.”
Liverpool duo Jerome Sinclair and Ryan Kent were included in Dewsnip’s 22-man party for the training camp, while team-mate Cameron Brannagan was called up for the first time but was on the bench for his club’s FA Cup win over Oldham on Sunday.
