England to stick with Tottenham keeper Robinson

England boss Steve McClaren will stick with Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson for their Euro2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia.

McClaren has admitted he has already made up his mind on his goalkeeping dilemma and that's likely to spell bad news for David James, who was hoping to get the nod ahead of his Spurs rival.

But unless Robinson shows signs of mental frailty in the build up to the Wembley Euro double header, he'll be in the side ahead of Portsmouth star James.

McClaren said: "I'll be looking for confirmation of the decision I have already made in training next week. I'll take on board what our goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence has to say but, ultimately, the decision is mine and I know what I plan to do.

"The goal against Germany was unfortunate for Paul and it could have been avoided.

"But I was pleased to see he reacted to the criticism in a very positive way in his next game for Spurs."
