England starlet Danny Rose makes Tottenham comeback

Exciting England youngster Danny Rose was back in action for Tottenham U18 on the weekend.

The England youth international made a bright start to the campaign - he impressed for our Spurs XI side in pre-season, scored twice for the U18s against champions Manchester City on the opening day of the FAPAL and helped the reserves win their opener against West Brom - but suffered a serious knee injury in September.

"It was great to see him back," said coach Alex Inglethorpe. "He started the season so well and it was really disappointing to see him get injured.

"He did well and contributed to a good second half performance."

Rose is joined in tonight's reserve squad by Jake Livermore, another recent returnee from long-term injury.

Development coach Clive Allen added on the club's website: "They've started their recovery with appearances for the Academy, they are back to full training and we'll now look for them to push on with game time for the reserves.

"It's great to see them back again and they now have a chance between now and the end of the season to get a few reserves games under their belts."
