England boss Roy Hodgson has left an incentive for Andy Carroll to get back to full fitness.

The Daily Mail suggests that the Three Lions manager will give the West Ham United striker the rest of the season to get back to full fitness and start scoring goals prior to next year's World Cup.

Carroll is yet to feature for the Hammers this season as he continues to battle heel and foot problems but a national team door has been left ajar by Hodgson who is keen to take the former Newcastle United and Liverpool centre forward to Brazil if he can prove himself before next summer.
