England midfielder Jordan Henderson doesn't believe Spain's World Cup chances have been dented by the sacking of manager Julen Lopetegui.

The 51-year-old was dramatically released from his duties yesterday, just one day before the tournament begins.

The Liverpool skipper said: "It's shock obviously, especially a day before the World Cup starts.

"But to be honest, they're a world class team.

"They've got fantastic players. I'm sure they'll still be a threat.

"If anything it could make them even stronger and stick together."
