England are contemplating a call-up for Jordon Ibe in order to ward off interest from Nigeria according to reports.
The impressive Liverpool youngster is eligible to represent his country of birth, England, and that of his father, Nigeria, with the Super Eagles believed to be showing significant awareness.
The Daily Mail suggests that the Football Association may hand a senior Three Lions selection to the 19-year old winger who has already played for England at U18, U19 and U20 level.
It is unlikely that Ibe, who had a successful loan spell with Derby County earlier this season, will be called up for the Euro2016 qualifier against Lithuania on March 27 or the friendly with Italy three days later but could be among the names read out by Roy Hodgson for June fixtures with the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia.
