England legend Terry Butcher says Germany are worthy world champions.

Butcher says Germany deserve their status as World Cup winners, following Sunday's dramatic 1-0 victory over Argentina.

"Yes, without a doubt," he told Sky Sports.

"I think they were the best team in the tournament. They were the best organized and Joachim Low's substitutions really worked.

"He has got a good depth of squad to pick from and, overall, their squad was the best."
