England injury jinx continues with coaching staff

England goalkeeping coach Ray Clemence, a long-standing member of the Three Lions backroom team, had to be carried off after snapping his Achilles tendon in the pre-match warm-up before the France game. With the aid of crutches, the 63-year-old former England stopper was able to watch Monday's 1-1 draw with France at the Donbass Arena.

"Our hoodoo with injuries continues with Ray Clemence snapping his Achilles tendon in the warm-up," said Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson.

"He's in an awful lot of pain and has to go back to England for an operation."
