Australia has been THRASHED 4-0 by England in the FA U17 tournament at Grimbsy's Blundell Park.
Australia were undone by an outstanding England, which featured several 15 year-olds, including Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling, in their line-up.
Sterling, West Ham United attacker Matthias Fanimo, Manchester City midfielder Courtney Meppen Walters, who was a late call-up to the squad, and Crewe forward Nick Powell finished on the scoresheet for England.
Australia coach Jan Versleijen conceded afterwards: "The level of this game was too high for us and it was evident that these (England) players play at a higher level week in, week out.
"This was the first time our players have faced a team as good as this in a match situation and it was evident that we were playing a very high quality opponent.
"The players will learn a great deal from playing a match like this."
Dylan Tombides, rated highly at West Ham, again featured for Australia, but was only given the first half by Versleijen.
