England FA urged to speak with Mourinho agent

The England FA are unlikely to convince former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho about taking over the England job should Steve McClaren fail to get the team into Euro2008.

"There has been no contact," one of the Portuguese's closest friends told the Guardian. "The FA would have to contact Jorge and I am sure he would say he would want to talk. But Jose wants to rest with his family, to do things he was unable to do because there was no time while he was at Chelsea. I am absolutely sure it is not the kind of job he wants. He wants a club in Spain or Italy, not a national team."
