England dope test players chosen

The FA have picked up to 20 England stars who must be available for random drug tests 365 days a year - but have not told them yet, reports The Sun. Players will have to provide details of their whereabouts for an hour a day, every day, even when they are on holiday.

Between 10-20 names were chosen, with most coming from the Three Lions' senior squad but the Under-21s could also be involved.

Andy Parkinson, the chief executive of UK Anti-Doping, said: "We are bringing footballers into line with the domestic programme, which we are entitled to do.

"If they are playing abroad, we can send our own officers or use other national anti-doping organisations.

"We want them to win the World Cup and for the public to know they are clean and to be proud of their success."
