England coach Gareth Southgate admits he's held talks with Manchester City midfielder Raheem Sterling about his World Cup form.
Southgate has reassured the Sterling that, even if he is rested against Panama on Sunday, he should not worry about his form or place throughout the tournament.
In an interview with ITV, he said of Sterling: “He got involved in all the right areas against Tunisia, the winning of free-kicks. Across the team I was pleased with all the performances.
“As I saw it, the chance in the game that he had (a close-range miss in the first half of Monday's win over Tunisia), he had clipped a defender on the way through and he had to adjust his feet really quickly."
