England coach Roy Hodgson wants a serious look at Everton midfielder Ross Barkley next week.
The Daily Express says Hodgson wants an in-depth look at the Everton teenager, who won his first senior cap against Moldova in September, and regards him as the most promising of the youngsters emerging through the ranks.
Barkley impressed Hodgson in training for the Montenegro and Poland qualifiers in October, but he did not feature in the games due to what was at stake.
The visit of Chile to Wembley a week tomorrow, and Germany on November 20, would provide Barkley with more of a platform to showcase his talents.
