England boss Roy Hodgson is eager for Manchester United pair Chris Smalling and Phil Jones to get themselves fully fit.
The Three Lions struggled to a 1-1 draw in Warsaw and boss Hodgson wants to inject some youth into his squad for next month's trip to Sweden with the Manchester United pair in the frame.
Hodgson said: "I will use the friendly to look at new players and give others a chance to perform.
"I hope Chris Smalling and Phil Jones will be available to join the squad and we could also take a look at Raheem Sterling.
"When Alex Ferguson bought Jones and Smalling he signed them with a view to them being an important part of Manchester United's future.
"And if you are English and playing for Manchester United, then you also have a big part to play in the future of the England national team.
"I've been unfortunate that I've not been able to pick Jones or Smalling yet due to injuries but those two and Steven Caulker at Tottenham can all start to ask a few questions and put people under pressure."
