England coach Roy Hodgson insists he hasn't shut the door on Manchester United winger Ashley Young.

Young didn't make Hodgson's squad, which was named yesterday.

"That doesn't mean the door is slammed in his face," said Hodgson.

"He has between now and May to get into the Manchester United team and play well."
