England coach Roy Hodgson has welcomed the targets set by FA chairman Greg Dyke this week.
Dyke set the target of winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, having reached the semi-finals of the 2020 European Championships.
Hodgson said: "I endorse the things he said.
"I didn't see him give it and haven't followed all the responses to it.
"[But] We've only got one focus. Our concern is we beat Moldova and get the point or points we need in the Ukraine.
"It's only fair that we're allowed to concentrate on these two games. They are very important games.
"I'm not suggesting we shouldn't think about what is good for English football. Of course, I endorse all those things.
"It's quite sensible to give targets but just think 2022 might be too far in the distance.
"What bothers me is not whether we'll win the World Cup but whether we can get the performances in the next four games to get to the World Cup.
"Let's first try to qualify and then try to get a little bit better and then try to win it.
"I doubt if we're top of the bookmakers lists."
