England coach Fabio Capello is keen to name Chelsea skipper John Terry in his next squad. The Daily Mail says he will wait until the last possible minute before deciding whether to include Terry in his squad for this month's friendlies against Spain and Sweden.

The England manager will include his captain in the provisional group he selects today and he is of the view that a man is innocent until proven guilty.

For that reason Capello would consider it extremely harsh to remove him from his plans for a showcase encounter with the world champions at Wembley - especially when it will put down such an important marker for next summer's European Championship and when the defender has expressed such a strong desire to play.

But the Italian also recognises the seriousness of the situation, with Terry being the subject of a formal Metropolitan Police investigation as well as an FA inquiry.
