England coach Capello will not write-off AC Milan midfielder Beckham

England coach Fabio Capello refuses to write-off David Beckham's World Cup chances.

LA Galaxy midfielder Beckham tore his Achilles tendon while playing for AC Milan against Chievo last night and is now expected to be out for five or six months.

“I will wait for the test results,” Capello told Gazzetta dello Sport. “I wished him a speedy recovery.”

Asked about Beckham's prospects of making the World Cup, he said: “I will wait for him.”
