Fabio Capello has been named Coach of the Year at the BBC Sports awards.

Capello was named coach of the year after the Italian guided England to qualification for the World Cup in a near-faultless campaign.

Capello said: "I am proud to win this award but I want to share this with all my staff and the players who will be with me next year in South Africa.''
