England coach Roy Hodgson and U21 boss Gareth Southgate are busy exploring the qualifications of new Liverpool signing Tiago Ilori. The Daily Mail says Ilori was born in north London but moved to Portugal as a youngster and has represented that country at junior level.
The central defender is one of the brightest prospects in the game and has been earmarked as one for the future by Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
Hodgson has been alerted to the possibility of dual nationality and has already made moves to determine whether he wants to play for England.
