England boss Gareth Southgate advised Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to not join Chelsea, according to the latest report from the Telegraph.

According to multiple reports, the Gunners had agreed on a deal with Chelsea for the England international, but he turned down the move in order to join Liverpool.

Oxlade-Chamberlain opted against the move to the Blues because Antonio Conte wanted to play him in the wing-back role, but he sees his future in central midfield.

He could make his Reds debut against Man City on Saturday.
