England caretaker manager Stuart Pearce says he will not make a big song and dance about who he will name as captain for next week's friendly.
The Three Lions host Holland at Wembley on Wednesday with Pearce needing to select a man to lead the team after the Football Association stripped John Terry of the honour.
But Pearce says he will make a decision and quickly move on as he feels there is too much emphasis placed on the position.
"I will pick a man once the group are together and I look at the dynamics of the group.
"I have got my own ideas on who is respected by each of the players and respected by myself. I will pick a captain accordingly, and that will be announced nearer match time.""The exposure of it over the last few months has been a little too excessive," he told a press conference at Wembley televised on Sky Sports News.
