Roy Hodgson has indicated that he would like to hand Luke Shaw his England debut on Wednesday night.

The 18-year old Southampton left-back is preparing for what could be his first international cap against Denmark at Wembley and Three Lions boss Hodgson suggests he could throw the young gun into the fray if it happens to suit.

Hodgson pulled together a squad of 30 players for the Denmark friendly and although he’s like to use each and every fit player on the list, he will have to make decisions ahead of tomorrow evening.

"I will consider using all 29 of them," Hodgson told reporters.

"We've brought Luke Shaw in because we feel his performances have merited a place in the full England squad. All being well it would be nice to get him on the field as well but I don't want to make any promises.

"I named a 30-man squad and only one player – Kyle Walker – was not able to make it but because it was touch and go but we named him in the squad.

"Yet the other 29 they're all with us, they're all fit, they're all ready and they all want to play tomorrow.

"I don't have that many substitutes so there will be a few of them I'm afraid that won't get a look in tomorrow."
