Roy Hodgson is of the belief that England's location at the 2014 Brazil World Cup is just as important as who they draw in their group.
The Three Lions boss has opted to make Rio de Janeiro their base for next year's tournament but it is yet to be determined where they will be playing their matches.
Hodgson feels it is vital that the weather in the region the England team is playing will have a strong influence on how they perform and is hoping to avoid two areas in particular - northern cities Manaus and Fortaleza.
"The north of the country is where we believe the weather is a major factor because it becomes more tropical, in particular the Amazon rain forest up in Manau," he told Sky Sports News.
"That's pretty obvious that the weather is difficult for any team to deal with and not just the European teams, and a place like Fortaleza - the climate will be tough.
"We said the same about South Africa, but basically you play where you are drawn to play and whatever happens we will have to make sure our preparations are right and just get on with it."
