Roy Hodgson is unlikely to select Daniel Sturridge in his next England squad this week.
Hodgson will on Thursday announce his Three Lions squad for Euro2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania but according to The Telegraph, Liverpool ace Sturridge will not be included.
The 26-year-old striker returned to top form with a match-winning brace in Saturday's 3-2 win over Aston Villa after making his first start the weekend prior following a five-month absence but Hodgson will resist the temptation to bring him straight back into the international fray.
Sturridge will be rested by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers for Thursday night's Europa League clash with Swiss club FC Sion.
