The Daily Star says Baines is set for a shock debut after Fabio Capello was infuriated by Wayne Bridge's decision to quit England.

Uncapped Everton defender Baines will come to angry Capello's rescue after Manchester City fullback Bridge decided he could not play for his country alongside John Terry.

Bridge feels that if he continues to be part of the England squad he would damage the country's chances of winning the World Cup because of the attention on his relationship with his former best mate Terry.
