England boss Capello: No experiments for Holland friendly

England boss Fabio Capello has ruled out experimenting for their August friendly with Holland.

"It is not an experimental game," Capello said. "We will be going at Holland 100 per cent.

"It will be a lottery because it is too early in the season.

"But I want to play the best team because it will be an important test and I need to check the general condition of the players."

That does not mean Capello's mind is closed to the possibility of bringing in fresh faces.

As he pointed out, Theo Walcott and Glen Johnson were not uppermost in fans' thinking 12 months ago yet they finished the season as integral members of the first-choice England side.

Opportunities to impress are limited though, given England face the Dutch - regular friendly opponents in the last few years - before the Premier League season opens.

"You never know with young players," Capello said.

"They are like flowers - they blossom."
