England boss Fabio Capello has blocked plans of a pre-World Cup party for his players.

The Sun says the FA were approached about marking the occasion with an official function. But when the idea was put to Capello, he immediately rejected it.

But the Italian believes qualifying was the bare minimum expected when he took on his £6million a year role and sees no cause for a celebration.
