Empty seats a concern for West Ham chiefs

West Ham chiefs are concerned about the empty seats at London stadium.

The Sun says the Hammers made their league debut at their new London Stadium but it seems not all supporters were keen to make the trip to watch their side.

As the Hammers battled it out with Bournemouth, West Ham owners David Gold and David Sullivan will be slightly concerned at the number of empty seats in the stands.

Despite West Ham winning by a single goal against Bournemouth in a drab affair, the crowd wouldn't have been too impressed with the entertainment on offer.

The Hammers were playing in Romania in the Europa League on Thursday and are suffering an injury crisis with Andy Carroll, Aaron Cresswell and Andre Ayew amongst the players on the treatment table.

West Ham managed to sell 50,000 season tickets for the upcoming campaign in their 57,000 seat stadium so it was expected that there would be barely any seats available.
