Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi has slammed transfer talk around Riccardo Saponara.

The midfielder has been linked with Liverpool this week.

“Saponara? There are people who wanted to stick their oars into the issue of his renewal," Corsi told Radio Marte.

“This disturbed the lad, but he's now calmer and feels responsibility for his situation."
