Empoli have dropped their support for FIGC presidential candidate Carlo Tavecchio.
Several Serie A clubs have now abandoned Tavecchio and called for him to quit as a candidate for the FIGC Presidency following racist comments last week.
"I maintain it is right to no longer support the candidacy of LND President Carlo Tavecchio as Federation President, as his recent and well-known comments are too far from our ethical and sporting principles," announced Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi.
"Also, these comments put us in a critical position on the international stage that at this moment Italian football will not benefit from."
