Emery insists he wants Valencia stay

Unai Emery has declared he wants to stay as coach of Valencia.

There have been reports of dressing room unrest over Emery, leading to suggestions he could depart despite being on the verge of leading the debt-ridden Los Che to third place in the Primera Division behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Emery said: "I want to continue coaching, I enjoy my work, dedicating time.

"I am happy to do it here in Valencia and to meet that challenge."

Final decisions will be made at the end of the season and Emery is focused on the immediate future - against Xerez.

"For me, the present and the future is the next game, I want to win and thus that it strengthens the team, it's my only thought for the future," he said.
