Emery insists Arsenal will take Europa League seriously

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says he'll be taking the Europa League seriously.

Emery, who led Sevilla to three successive European titles, is planning to field a strong side when Arsenal kick off their campaign against Ukraine's Vorskla Poltava on Thursday.

"I have proven with my experience to know the best way to manage the players," Emery said as his side prepare to face Rafa Benitez's Newcastle at St James' Park on Saturday.

"Now, it is very important for me to think first about the match against Newcastle. We need to win the three points, then think the same for the Europa League.

"My idea first isn't to change 11 players for one competition and the next competition. The Europa League can help a lot."
