Emenalo has no problems with Chelsea's relationship with Vitesse

Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo loves the fact that his players actually get game time when they go out on loan to Vitesse Arnhem.

The Blues currently have six players with the Dutch club which has attracted criticism from clubs in Europe who feel there should only be three overseas players on loan at any one club.

However, Emenalo is thrilled with the relationship with Vitesse as the Chelsea youngsters get invaluable experience in a technically sound competition.

"For young players, the ages of 18 to 21 are the most difficult time. We felt it is better for them to go on loan to somewhere where they get good competition," said Emenalo.

"It's working with Vitesse because the Dutch league plays in a desirable way and they have done what they promised. When they say they want a player, the player actually does play.

"If tomorrow a Championship team in England wants the same kind of relationship with us it is no problem.

"We don't send players out because we are trying to recover money. We send them because we want them to play and develop, and monitor them."

The Chelsea sextet on loan at Vitesse consists of Sam Hutchinson, Christian Atsu, Gael Kakuta, Lucas Piazon, Patrick van Aanholt and Cristian Cuevas.
