Urby Emanuelson admits he's discussed Tottenham's interest with his Ajax teammate Edgar Davids.

Davids knows Spurs well from his time at White Hart Lane and left-back Emanuelson said: "I've talked about Spurs with Davids, of course, because he's played there.

"Edgar said they're a beautiful club, but that I shouldn't limit myself to just them.

"He said: 'You are an Ajax player, you are young and talented, so you should be aiming to go to a top club from England, Spain or Italy'. I am beginning to think he is right."
