The 29-year-old goalkeeper insists that the whole club has been undergoing a transformation since Steve McClaren arrived.
Elliot told the Evening Chronicle: “Watford is going to be a tough, tough game - we’ve already lost to them twice this season - but I am fully confident we can go there and claim all three points, definitely.
“We’ve got a little momentum after the last two games and we need to build on that.
“Regardless of our league position, we can’t sit back because we’re still a young team, we’re still learning.
“A new manager and a completely new coaching staff came in during the summer, we had a new spine of the team, another two new players arrived in January, and we’ve played just over 20 games.
“We’ve got to quickly learn how to be a team, and we’re getting better and better each week."
