Newcastle United goalkeeper Robert Elliot is confident they can move away from the dropzone.
Elliot feels there is enough grit in the United locker room to dig themselves out of trouble.
Elliot told the Evening Chronicle: "I was in a relegation battle at Notts County when I was in League One, and at Charlton Athletic when we got relegated from the Championship.
"I only played the end of that season, and we were pretty much out of it by then.
"You've just got to stick together and be strong.
"We'd much rather be where we are than those below us - but we need to focus on what we need to do.
"We know we've got quality in the team."
