Everton boss Roberto Martinez praised young central defender John Stones after the 3-0 win against Manchester United on Sunday.
The 20-year old capped a fine performance against the Red Devils with his first goal for the Toffees which came in the form of a powerful front-post header in the 35th minute.
Martinez also touched on the defensive partnership the talented starlet is forming with the more experienced Phil Jagielka.
"Scoring is always a big moment, and doing it at Goodison is especially pleasing," Martinez said.
"I would like to highlight his overall performance. He is so elegant and stylish in possession.
"Defensively him and Phil Jagielka are a phenomenal partnership, and Stones is learning from the best."
