Elano admits he may quit Manchester City if he isn't offered a new contract.

The 27-year-old said: "I can't approach the World Cup still having to renew my contract. I don't want any panic. I hope he (Hughes) can understand me.

"If he doesn't want to renew, I will go to another team.

"I tried to explain to the boss that I could play and help the team. Now that I'm playing, the team has grown, and Robinho has evolved."
