Elano playing for Man City fans

Elano admits Manchester City's fans have helped him settle quickly in the Premiership.

The Brazilian midfielder told City Magazine: "I know the fans like the way I play and that they appreciate me and I feel the same about them, but it is the team that wins matches not individuals.

"It is not always possible to play at the top of your game, some days are better than others. It is the same in all walks of life. We all have good days and bad days. But my aim is always to give 100 per cent to the team. It is always moving to see 45,000 people in the stadium willing the side on.

"I appreciate that our home supporters pay their money to cheer on the side and when we score it brings them great joy. They want to share in that moment and that is understandable. It is how a bond is formed between themselves and the team and in that moment we are one.

"I am really happy to be here and my family is happy, too. It has been easy to settle thanks to the manager, my team-mates and the supporters. Even the Press have been kind to me. I want to thank everyone."
