Liverpool youngster Nabil El Zhar is determined to see more first team action this season.
El Zhar has already played one first-team game for the Reds so far this season, marking it with a spectacular goal in front of the Kop in the Carling Cup tie with Cardiff City.
"It is more than a dream to score a goal against Cardiff in front of the Kop," the 21-year-old told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"I want to play more first-team games so the important thing is to keep learning. You have to develop your game when you play here, and every day you must improve. So my target is to work hard and try and play in some more games this season."
El Zhar has been a fixture in the Reserves since arriving from St Etienne in October 2006 and credits the man in charge of the second string for his apparent ease in adapting to the physical demands of the English game.
"Gary Ablett has helped me a lot," he admitted.
"When I arrived last season he helped me a lot because my English wasn't great. He's been more than a coach because he helps the players and is really friendly.
"On the pitch he helps me because in England it is a different style to other countries. He's a very good manager and I am really enjoying my time here."
